The Tay Road Bridge

The Tay Road Bridge was designed by William Fairhurst. It was built by Duncan Logan (Contractors) Ltd. Officially opened by Queen Elizabeth on 18th August 1966. The bridge crosses the Tay Estuary linking Fife to Dundee. The bridge is approx 1.5 miles long and crosses the Tay 10 meters above sea level. At least 5 men died building the bridge.
