The Park was officially opened in September
1983. Its 102 hectares includes Crombie Loch as well as broad-leafed
and coniferous woodlands. Crombie Country Park, with its scenic loch
and woodlands is a haven for wildlife. The woodlands are home to red
squirrels, woodpeckers and roe deer.
Picnic and barbecue facilities are available but large parties
should book in advance. During the summer a large marquee is
available for public use. Nestled amid the "wildwoods" is a play
park suitable for children. There are walks and trails and a
36-point orienteering course which is open all year! For
information, help and advice, the Countryside Rangers are available
in the Main Lodge which has a permanent display.
Marquees and BBQ's can be hired between April and September please
contact the Ranger Service for details.
Dogs allowed, must be kept on leads in picnic areas. No dogs in play
park. Dog managers must adhere to requirements of Dog Fouling Act
2003.
