If cycling is your passion Milton Keynes has hundreds of miles of red ways, purpose built for the cyclist. These offer a great safe family day out. They are designed to enable people to cycle from one end of Milton Keynes to the other without ever crossing a main road. If you are new to the area you might want to follow one of the set routes, these have being specially planned to take you through picturesque villages and some of the best countryside Buckinghamshire has to offer. 

If you enjoy shopping Milton Keynes has one of the largest indoor shopping malls in the world, measuring an amazing 720 meters long. It's packed with great shops such as Hugo Boss, Debenhams, House of Fraser, Hollister and John Lewis.

When it comes to entertainment for all the family why not head down to the ‘Xscape'.  In one area visitors can find live music, restaurants for every occasion, a fantastic indoor ski slope which is fun for all the family.

Milton Keynes also hosts an excellent theatre, with shows running all year round and some of the biggest stars of the stage treading the boards, you are sure to be entertained. Only recently patrons of Milton Keynes theatre were entertained by Connie Fisher and the rest of the west end cast of "The Sound of Music".  At the start of 2010 you can be wowed by the hit show Chicago, as Marti Pellow comes to Milton Keynes. The show runs from 25th to the 30th of January.

Milton Keynes is fast becoming an important centre for professional sports. With the new Stadium MK which was officially opened by the Queen in December 2007, a statement was made about Milton Keynes's ambitions to provide quality professional sports venues. Recently Stadium MK has been named as a host venue for England's World Cup bid, which goes to show what an impact the new facilities in Milton Keynes have had.

The National Badminton Centre was opened in January 2000 and England's hugely successful Olympic squad train at the centre. Milton Keynes also boasts its own professional Basketball and Ice Hockey team.
