Highdown Hill above Worthing is the site of the Millers Tomb. John Olliver was an eccentric miller from Highdown who slept with his coffin under his bed!

From the top of Highdown Hill on a clear day you can see the Isle of Wight, Selsey Bill, Chichester Cathedral, Arundel Castle,Brighton and Beachy Head.

The Dome opened in 1911, and was called The Kursaal. It offered roller-skating, tearoom, dance hall and billiards. It was converted to a cinema in 1921 and has been showing films ever since - and appearing in them! It was used in the film Wish You Were Here, starring Emily Lloyd, which is based on the early life of Cynthia Payne, `Madame Cyn' - who grew up in Bognor Regis.

The town's pier was the 13th to be built in England in 1861, costing £6,500.
