West Indies honour for academic - 10-10-2008
|
A University of Wolverhampton academic has been invited to serve as a Visiting Professor at the University of the West Indies. The prestigious honour from the Trinidad and Tobago based university has been awarded to Dr Laura Serrant-Green from the School of Health. Dr Serrant-Green will visit the School of Advanced Nursing Education on three occasions over a year to conduct lectures on research, professional nursing and writing for publication. She will also provide consultation to faculty and administrative staff on the implementation of the Masters of Science in Nursing degree programme. Dr Serrant-Green recently returned from her first visit to Trinidad and Tobago in the role, and said it had been a very successful visit. Staff and students at the university were very welcoming and enthusiastic about sharing learning, teaching and research experiences. She said: "This is a fantastic honour and a great opportunity for myself and the University of Wolverhampton to engage with nursing and health education on an international level." |
