Car stolen during robbery in Aldridge - 06-09-2008
|
Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Aldridge yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) at 3.45pm.
A 34-year-old woman was walking back to her car - a blue Audi S3 Quattro registration number BD57 VZX - which was parked in a small car park in Bakers Lane. The car park is in between High Street and Little Aston Road.
The woman was approached by offender who demanded her car keys and dragged her away from the car by her hair, the men then stole the vehicle.
It is believed there were at least two offenders; they have been described as black, aged between 20 and 23 and wearing hooded tops and jeans.
Detective Sergeant Rob Bastin, from Walsall CID, said: "The victim is clearly shaken up by this incident but otherwise unhurt. It is believed that the offenders were also using a black Audi A3 and may have been parked up in or near the car park for a while before the incident.
"We would ask that anyone who was in the area of the car park around the time of the robbery, or anyone who saw the men parked in the black Audi, to contact us."
Both Audis were driven away following the robbery but the direction of travel is not known.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Walsall CID on 0845 113 5000 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. |
