|
This is an update into the murder investigation following the death of Stephon Davidson who was shot on 5 August 2008.
West Midlands Police are appealing for information around a silver Toyota Avensis, registration number FE03 JXW. This vehicle has been used in the Birmingham area, but more recently is believed to have been in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area.
Detective Chief Inspector Tim Bacon, who is leading the investigation said: "I would ask anyone who has any information about the current whereabouts of this vehicle to contact us immediately.
"This was an extremely reckless and brazen attack that involved the gunman shooting from one vehicle towards another vehicle in the middle of a main road in Ladywood, an attack which has resulted in the death of a young man, and that put many others at serious risk.
"A number of people who saw the incident have already come forward, and I would urge anyone else who may have witnessed it to contact us. We can offer the full range of special measures to support witnesses."
Anyone with any information should contact West Midlands Police on 0845 113 5000 or call Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111. |
