Police release of cctv images following assult on bus in Northfield - 29-08-2008

Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with an assault on a bus.

The incident occurred on Friday 18 April on the top deck of a number 61 bus, travelling down Bristol Road in Selly Oak (into Northfield) at the time of the incident.

Two men aged 17 and 19 were sitting on the top deck of the bus. They became involved in a verbal altercation with a group of other people before both men were assaulted.

A short while later a man aged 40 boarded the top deck of the bus at Egghill Lane in Northfield and was also assaulted by the same offenders.

The two victims aged 17 and 19 received minor swelling and bruising to their faces.

The man in CCTV image one is described as white, aged around 40 years old, 5ft 11ins to 6ft tall, slim build, blond hair and clean shaven.

The man in image two is described as white, aged between 27 and 33 years-old, thin build, wearing black beanie hat, dark clothing and white trousers.

The men in the CCTV images are asked to contact police as they may hold vital information to help with the inquiry.
