Police reappeal for information following Birmingham city centre murder - 20-08-2008

Police investigating the murder of a man in Birmingham city centre have released details of the victim's identity.

Mathew Sutherland, aged 29 and from Birmingham, died from a fatal stab wound sustained during an incident on Corporation Street shortly after 6am on Sunday August 17.

Mathew, also known as Ducky, had recently left the Que nightclub in Corporation Street where up to 1500 people had earlier attended a music event.

At the time of the incident there were numerous people walking or driving through Corporation Street.

A murder inquiry has been launched and an incident room has been established at Steelhouse Lane police station.
