Neighbourhood Recycling Initiative - 18-07-2008

Residents in Bilston are being urged to get involved in a Neighbourhood
Recycling Initiative this weekend.

Volunteers are invited to play their part in the community event in Old
Bradley tomorrow, Saturday, July 19, by assisting in the removal of
recyclable items.

The initiative is organised by Bilston East Local Neighbourhood
Partnership, Bradley North Tenants and Residents Association and
Wolverhampton City Council, in partnership with Enterprise.

People are asked to meet at Bradley Housing Office, Bank Street, at 8am.

Residents are also asked to put all their separated recycling outside
their homes before 8.30am on the same day for the volunteers to collect.

In addition residents are asked to identify anybody that needs help
putting their recyclable rubbish out.

The main streets being targeted for this Neighbourhood Recycling
Initiative are: Bank Street; Jordan Place; King Street; Kirby Close;
Slater Street; Baldwin Street; Kemsey Drive; Chettle Road; Crane Road;
Martin Road; Walter Road; Lord Street; Chatwin Place and Powell Place.

Leaflets are being sent to residents in Old Bradley to inform them about
the day.

Ron Wright, from Bradley North Tenants and Residents Association, said:
"I am pleased to see the Neighbourhood Recycling Initiative come to our
estate; it has been a great success in other parts of Bilston and I am
sure with volunteer support it will be a very successful one here too."
