Appeal after 16 year old is injured in Coventry collision - 18-07-2008

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Coventry last night.

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a moped he was riding collided with a lampost on Coundon Green, at 6.40pm (July 17). He remains in a serious but stable condition.

No other vehicle is believed to be involved in the collision.

The road was closed for six hours while police carried out inquries at the scene.

Any witnesses are urged to contact the road policing unit at Little Park Street police station on 0845 113 5000.
