Appeal following armed robbery, Barclays bank, Small heath - 16-05-2008

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an armed robbery which took place at Barclay's bank in Small Heath, Birmingham.
The incident occurred just before 9:30am yesterday (Wednesday 14) outside Barclays bank in Coventry Road, Small Heath. Two men with their faces covered approached staff on a security van outside the bank.
They threatened the staff with a handgun and made off with a box containing a large quantity of cash.
Offenders rammed the security van with their vehicle (a RX300 Lexus) as they made off, causing damage to the van and their own car.
No one was injured.
The damaged Lexus, which is believed to have been stolen was later found abandoned in Lloyd Street, Small Heath.
The two offenders were both male in dark clothing with their faces covered. No further description known.
