Road closed following seious collision - Stourbridge - 14-05-2008

Roads have been closed in Stourbridge following a serious collision in the town centre this morning.

Officers were called to Ring Road, near to the junction with Worcester Street, shortly after 9am following a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

A woman, believed to be in her late 70s, was taken to hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.

Worcester Street and the Ring Road have been closed while inquiries are made at the scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area this morning.
