police appeal following attack in walsall hair salon - 12-05-2008

Police are appealing for witnesses following an attack on a man in a Walsall hair salon.

The incident took place at 1pm Sunday May 11 inside Faheebs Hair Salon in Stafford Street, Walsall, as the 24 year old man was having his hair cut.

Four men, described as Asian in their early 20s and armed with baseball bats, entered the shop and attacked the victim, before leaving in a silver Mondeo car, which drove off towards Bloxwich.

The man suffered serious bruising to his back and head and cuts and bruises following the incident- he was released following treatment at hospital.

Police are investigating the attack and are appealing for anyone with information to contact the CID at walsall on 0845 113 5000
