Did you know Wolverhampton Art Gallery houses one of the best collections of contemporary art in the region? This is a chance to view work from this collection, which explore the fascinating theme of identity. See acclaimed photographic artists Richard Billingham, Paul Graham and Zineb Sedira, as well as life-size sculptures and drawings by Brazilian artist, Ana Maria Pacheco.As part of the Special Collections Scheme, supported by the Contemporary Art Society and funded by the Arts Council, Wolverhampton has been able to acquire 50 new works since 1992. A selection is here shown alongside more recent additions to the collection, highlighting Wolverhampton's consistent approach to collecting contemporary art that tackles social and political themes.
