E-fit released following snatch theft - Maidenhead
Detectives investigating a snatch theft in Maidenhead last month have released an E-fit image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
At about 1.30pm on Saturday 16 August, a 25-year-old woman was sitting on the grass in Desborough Park when she was approached by a man who pushed her head down and tried to grab her mobile phone. When she failed to let go of the phone, the man grabbed her handbag and ran off with it in the direction of Fane Way.
Shortly afterwards, the man was stopped by a member of the public who managed to get the bag back and return it to the woman.
No-one was injured during the incident.
The man is white, in his mid teens, approximately 5ft 5ins and slim. He was wearing a green hooded top and blue tracksuit bottoms.
If you recognise the man in the E-fit, or you have any information about the incident, please contact DC Tamara Scott via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don't want to speak to police or give your name, please call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111. http://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/index.htm |
