Appeal for information - Westbrook Road rape
Police are continuing to appeal for information in connection to a rape in Westbrook Road at the end of last month.
The incident occurred at roughly 5.30am on Saturday August 30 and involved a 48-year-old woman being attacked in her bed by a man who had gained entry through an open first floor window.
Det Insp Rebecca Mears, from Reading CID, said: "It's exactly a fortnight now since the incident and I'd like people to cast their mind back to that Friday night and Saturday morning and think about whether they remember any suspicious behaviour. Did your partner or housemate return home late? Was he acting suspiciously around this time? I urge you to contact me with any information.
"We are now able to eliminate suspects from the investigation quickly so please come forward and tell us what you know."
Police continue to trace the man in the e-fit image released earlier this week and would welcome any information on this.
Anyone with any information about this incident should contact Reading CID via 0845 8 505 505.
Alternatively, if you do not want to speak to police or leave your name please call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111. http://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/index.htm |
