Helpline Volunteers Needed NowMissing People is the UK's only charity that works with young runaways, missing and unidentified people, their families and others who care for them. As well as actively searching for missing people and supporting those who are trying to find them, the charity offers three other services: Runaway Helpline (for young runaways), Message Home (for missing adults) and Identification (helping to resolve cases of unidentified people).
We are currently looking for Message Home and Runaway Helpline volunteers. If you have the following skills and personal attributes, we would like to hear from you: - Excellent communication and listening skills, both verbal and non verbal
- Fluent and colloquial spoken and written English
- Ability to respond to all callers in a calm, empathetic, non-judgemental manner
If you are interested in applying, we have a selection process which begins with: - Completing an application form (this can be downloaded from http://www.missingpeople.org.uk/media-centre/downloads Closing date for applications is 31 January 2008.
- A telephone interview
Attending a selection day The next selection days are held on: Monday 4 February, 6.30-9.30pm and Sunday 10 February, 2-5pm.Missing People is based in South West London.
