Police given longer to question murder suspect - 18-11-2008

Police have been granted more time to question a man arrested on suspicion
of murder in Ashton in Makerfield.

Shortly after 1.45am on Sunday 16 November 2008, police were called to
Bolton Road, following reports of a disturbance.

Officers attended and found three men had been stabbed.

The three injured men were taken to hospital for treatment. One of them,
23-year-old Parwar Mulad, of Silverdale Road, Bolton, later died.

The two other men were discharged.

A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and wounding with
intent.

He remains in police custody for questioning.
