Armed robbery at Wigan store - 09-10-2008

Detectives in Wigan are hunting two men following an armed robbery at a shop in Norley Hall.
At about 9.25pm on Friday 3 October 2008, two men, one armed with an iron bar, went into the Co-operative Store on Norley Hall Avenue and threatened staff.
The pair ran away with a small amount of cash across Norley Hall Road, towards The Green.
Staff inside the shop were left shaken but were uninjured.
The first offender is described as white, between 5ft 8in and 6ft tall, of slim build and wearing dark clothing.
The second offender is described as white, of medium build, between 5ft 3in and 5ft 6in tall. He was armed with the weapon and wearing a white jacket and balaclava.
Detective Constable Paul Clayton, of Wigan CID, said: "Armed robbery is a serious offence that carries serious punishment and I am determined to bring these two offenders to justice.
"I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the robbery to come forward.
"I am especially keen to speak to anyone who may have seen two men matching the description of the offenders to come forward."
