Elderley woman still missing - 19-08-2008

The 62-year-old woman whose been missing from her home in Wigan since yesterday evening still has not been found.
Margaret Elizabeth Gregson, who suffers from Alzheimer's, was last seen at about 6.30pm on Monday 18 August 2008 at her house on Amberley Close, Whelley.
Margaret does not have her medication with her and as time passes officers' and her family's concern for her is rising.
When she was last seen Margaret was wearing a red coat, a blue top, blue trousers and white shoes. She is of heavy build, wears glasses and is only 5ft 3in tall.
Search teams have been working in the area where Margaret lives throughout the day, with assistance from dog handlers.
The Mountain Rescue team has also been informed and will be helping police with the search as night falls.
Chief Inspector Andy Baddeley said: "We are doing everything we can to find Margaret but we'd ask for your help. It'll be dark again soon and we desperately want to reunite Margaret safely with her family. Please keep looking out for her and if you think you might have seen her please call straight away."
