Burglary at retail unit - 03-07-2008
|
Police in Tyldesley are appealing for information after a vacant retail unit on Elliott Street was burgled over the weekend.
It's thought the incident happened between 5pm on Saturday 28 June and 8am on Monday 30 June when the rear ground floor door of the premises was forced open.
The offenders then stole sledgehammers and used them to force open two more doors on the first floor.
Among the items stolen were a McCullen chainsaw, 10 large pots of Leyland paint, a benchsaw and electrical fittings including switches and sockets.
PC Graeme Edwards said: "The offenders would have created a lot of noise while forcing entry into the premises, so I would appeal for anyone who may have heard loud banging in the area or seen a suspicious vehicle to get in touch with us."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7321 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. |
