An Invitation to: "Get Involved and Give Tilly a Hand" Tilly was 15 months old when she became incredibly ill with Meningococcal Septicaemia Strain B. Her family were told that it was likely she would die! On the 4th day they heard the best news, Tilly was showing signs that she was fighting the meningitis - the disease, however, had damaged Tilly's body so much she needed both her hands amputated and all of her toes self amputated but it was a small price to pay for getting her life back! Tilly is such a brave and beautiful little girl and she will not let anything stop her.     The ‘Give Tilly a Hand' Appeal is a trust fund account to do two things: - Help us buy Tilly the best prosthetic hands To give Tilly a ‘helping hand' in life by this we mean that the fund can also be used to help Tilly lead as much of a normal life as possible.
