LEGENDARY Oasis tribute act, Soasis, will be taking the lead at this year's Busk Idol final as the four buskers battle it out for top spot. Soasis will be playing a full set singing great covers of Wonderwall to Morning Glory. They are a six piece authentic tribute band who are not to be missed! The grand final for this year's event takes place at Arc on Saturday, 7 June in what promises to be a night of great excitement and entertainment. The four finalists will be in good company on the night with Soasis - one of the country's top tribute bands - takes to the stage. To find out about the 12 shortlisted buskers and to vote for your favourite, log onto http://www.buskidol.com/ Voting closes on 28 May and the four buskers with the most votes will go into the final on 7 June. All finalists will receive a busking permit to perform in Stockton Town Centre and the winner will receive a two hour recording session at Green Dragon Studios. Councillor Mary Womphrey, Stockton Council's Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: "Following the success of Stockton's first ever Busk Idol, this year is set to be another great occasion with a host of different musicians to entertain everyone." Jake Holt, winner of Busk Idol 2006, will be making a guest appearance at the final where he will sing and present the winner with their prize.
