Spark your interest in all things arty! - Monday, 27 October

YOUNGSTERS heading to Spark during the half term break will be able to try their hand at all things arty.
  A series of workshops are being held giving youngsters the chance to have a go at everything from jewellery making to creating their own spooky decorations in time for Halloween.

On Monday, 27 October the Graffiti Frames workshop will give participants the opportunity to create their own graffiti style frame using recycled materials.

To celebrate Black History Month, the workshop on Tuesday, 28 October will concentrate on making African masks and funky jewellery for children to take home.

A Halloween theme takes centre stage towards the end of the week with a Terrifying Treasure Chests workshop on Wednesday, 29 October.

Those talking part can make a spooky treasure chest to store your Halloween loot in or a potion cabinet to help with your magic spells!

The final workshop on Friday, 31 October will see the creation of spooky decorations. Head along and make floating ghosts, hanging bats, tombstones and more!

Councillor Mary Womphrey, Stockton Council's Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: "The workshops at Spark are always really popular as they are great fun and allow youngsters to get creative.

There is no need to be bored during the half term break - just book a place and see what you can make." The workshops all run from 2-4pm, apart from the final session on Friday, 31 October which runs from 10.30am until 1pm. The cost is £5 per participant per session.
 
All activities are suitable for those aged eight years and above and all materials are provided.Advance booking is essential.
