Get ship shape for Bookstart day - Friday, 10 October.

PIRATE fever is spreading across Stockton Borough as National Bookstart Day approaches.
Stockton Council's Library Service is joining forces with Borders on Teesside Park to host a fun event for youngsters on Friday, 10 October.
The fun is pirate themed with the celebrations setting sail from 1.30 - 3.30pm. Every child who comes along dressed as a pirate will be entered into a prize draw. There will be a story and rhyme time, the chance to make a pirate hat or take part in a treasure hunt.
If you cannot make it to the event at Borders, there will be activities taking place at libraries across the Borough - just contact your local library for details. Bookstart aims to help every child in the UK to develop a lifelong love of books and this year's programme will offer millions of children and parents to discover the joy of reading together.
Councillor Mary Womphrey, Stockton Council's Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: "No-one is ever too young to enjoy the benefits of reading and encouraging youngsters to get involved with books is a wonderful idea.
I hope lots of children and adults get on board for a fun filled pirate themed day!"
