Exhibition celebrates the Borough's heritage - Saturday, 29 March,

A NEW permanent exhibition celebrating the rich and diverse heritage of Stockton Borough is set to open at Preston Hall Museum. 'Made in Stockton' features the industrial and social heritage and focuses on what the people of Stockton 'made' and what 'made' them the people they were.The exhibition, starting on Saturday, 29 March, with information, photographs and objects from shipbuilding, iron and steel industry, railways, chemicals, brewing, pottery, health and sport. Councillor Mary Womphrey, Stockton Council's Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: "The rich and diverse heritage of the Borough is rightly celebrated in this new exhibition, which I am sure will be a fascinating insight into our area's industrial past."Preston Hall Museum is open Monday to Friday, from 10am until 4.30pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am until 4.30pm.
