Go potty with art courses

Stockton Council's Adult Education Service is inviting people to go potty with two arts and crafts courses. The service is running a Pottery course at Thornaby Community School and a stained glass course at Kiora Hall, Ragworth, on Thursday Evenings from 6.30 - 9pm.Participants will learn basic techniques such as tiles and pots before progressing on to more advanced individual work including lampstands, ornaments and flower pots. Councillor Ann McCoy, Cabinet Member for Adult Services and Health, said: "This is a great course for anyone who is interested in taking up a craft hobby but has no previous experience. Learners will progress from knowing nothing all the way to making beautiful pieces of work."
The courses start at beginner level and are open to everyone aged 16 and over with no experience needed. Both classes are taught by specialist tutors in purpose equipped facilities and all materials are provided. The course costs £22.50 for five weeks or £39 for ten weeks.
