Witnesses Sought to Incident in St Albans - 20-05-2008

POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses following an incident in St Albans on Tuesday, May 13.
A robbery occurred between 10.10pm and 10.19pm when a man who was in his vehicle parked in Ladies Grove was allegedly assaulted by a man who took his car keys and mobile phone. The offender was accompanied by another man. The car keys were later recovered.
This incident is being linked to an assault, also in Ladies Grove which occurred between 10.10pm and 10.26pm. It is alleged a male offender assaulted a man in the road. However, he managed to leave the area and made his way home.
PC Katy Jackson from the Local Crime Unit based at St Albans police station is investigating and said: "I am appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of either incident and could help us with our investigation. I would also ask anyone who knows anything about either incidents to also come forward as you may hold key information which could help us with our inquiry."
