Did You See Collision on Hatfield Road, St Albans? - 15-05-2008

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal road traffic collision on Hatfield Road, St Albans on Sunday, May 11.

The incident occurred at around 3.45pm when a red Ford Fiesta which was travelling west along Hatfield Road, was in collision with a pedestrian near to the junction with Granville Road.

The pedestrian, an 89-year-old man from St Albans, was taken to the QE11 Hospital but sadly died later that evening.

PC Philip Watts from Welwyn Garden City police station said: "We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or knows anything about it to please come forward to police. Contact us on 0845 33 00 222."
