Robbery at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel - 11-05-2008
|
DETECTIVES are appealing for information and witnesses following a robbery at a hotel in Redbourn in the early hours of Tuesday, May 6.
The incident occurred at just after 2.30am at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Hemel Hempstead Road when a man threatened two members of staff for the takings from the safe. However, as the safe could not be opened, no money was taken but a mobile phone was. The offender then made off in an unknown direction. Nobody was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a black man, around 5ft 6in tall and aged between 25 to 30 years old. He was described as wearing a balaclava, a grey jacket and grey tracksuit bottoms.
Detective Constable Andrew Boyer from the Local Crime Unit based at St Albans police station is investigating and said: "This incident would have been very distressing for the victims and I need the public's assistance in tracing the offender. If anyone knows anything about the incident, or saw somebody acting suspiciously in the area prior to the crime taking place, then please come forward."
Anyone with information should contact DC Boyer on 0845 33 00 222 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. You do not have to give your name and could be entitled to a cash reward. http://www.herts.police.uk/ |
