Strawberry Hill celebrates another successful event. - 04-07-2008

Over 300 hundred people watched Michael Friend's production of 'The Importance of Being Earnest' on the lawns of Strawberry Hill House last Sunday, June 29th. 

The success of this event, the first 'picnic theatre' staged at Strawberry Hill, means that it will now become an annual event.

The Richmond Shakespeare are hoping to celebrate their 75th anniversary next year at Strawberry Hill with a performance of 'As You Like It' and organisers are planning to stage other plays, including possibly a play by local boy, Noel Coward.  Almost £2000 was raised towards the on-going restoration of the house. 

The next event this summer is the RFU Fun Day on Sunday, July 13th.
