A weekend of activities for everyone
To celebrate the ninth annual Big Draw, Hampton Court Palace invites you to create your own works of art, inspired by our famous paintings and tapestries. No matter what your age or level of experience, unleash your inner artist!

A range of different drawing activities are on offer. During your visit have a go at any one of them, or all three. 

Date: Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October 2008

Time: 10.30-15.30

Venue: Clore Learning Centre, Hampton Court.

Draw in triumph!Help to recreate a masterpiece. Make your own drawing based on the people and animals in the celebrated Triumphs of Caesar by Mantegna. Artist in Residence Rachel Gadsden will use copies of your work to create a huge new set of Triumphs before your eyes.

The Big Stitch Add your own design to the World's Longest Embroidery (a record breaking 605.55 metres) and stitch yourself into history. Over 7,000 people of all ages and from all over the world have stitched their names and personal designs onto the World's Longest Embroidery. A length of it is here on 11 and 12 October for you to add to. It does not matter whether you have stitched before or not. The most important thing is that you have fun drawing, or writing in stitch.

The cloth for the WLE was woven by the National Trust at Quarry Bank Mill.
