POLICE in Blackpool are appealing for witnesses following a burglary on Smithy Lane on Tuesday 14 October 2008. The burglary happened between 8:45pm and 9:30pm. An offender has climbed over a gate leading into the owner's back garden, forced entry into a secured garage and taken two motorbikes. The motorbikes were not started and it is suspected that they were put into a vehicle. One motorbike is a green Kawasaki ZX 1000, registration number PN05 JFO. The other motorbike is a blue and white Suzuki GSX-R, registration number PE08 WNW. PC Chris Hill said: "This burglary took place on a busy, residential road so there is a good chance that a member of the public has witnessed something. "I would urge anyone who has any information relating to this burglary or anyone who may have witnessed it to contact the police immediately."
