A 24 year old man from Poland has been charged in connection with a major investigation into the importation of firearms and drugs offences. Tomasz Wisniewski was arrested in Poland on behalf of officers from Lancashire Constabulary's Serious and Organised Crime Unit as part of Operation Greengage. He was arrested in Augustow, north east Poland, by the national Polish Drugs Squad on a European arrest warrant on Thursday 29 May. Wisniewski appeared in court in Poland on Friday 30 May where he was told he would be extradited to the UK. He was brought to England yesterday afternoon (Thursday 3 July) and was last night charged with conspiracy to supply Class A and Class C drugs, drugs importation and possessing, selling or transferring firearms and ammunition.
