Police in Portsmouth are appealing for information after a house in Garnier Street, Portsmouth, was burgled during the daytime, and children's toys were among the items taken.
Between 9am and 5.30pm on Friday, October 10, the occupants were out and the house was broken into, where a number of items were stolen.
There were no signs of forced entry, and the offender had taken a laptop and the accompanying bag, as well as a Nintendo DS and nine Doctor Who ‘Dalek' models, eight of which were gold, and belonged to a young child who lives at the address.
Detective Constable Jon Smithers said, "Though there are no signs of forced entry it would have taken some effort to get into the property and someone may have seen or heard something at the house during the day. This happened in broad daylight and so I am sure someone may have seen something happening at the address, as it is a busy area of Portsmouth. This distressing incident has been made worse as some of the toys belonging to a child have been stolen, which is very upsetting for the family." Can you help?
