Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a public order incident where one man suffered head injuries in Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth.
At around 2.40am on Wednesday, October 8, police were called after an altercation broke out.
A 21-year-old man suffered head injuries during the incident and was taken to the Queen Alexandra hospital for treatment.
Officers are now talking to witnesses and examining CCTV to ascertain what happened.
Detective Constable Annie Keir said, "There were a number of people who were around the Guildhall Walk area at the time this took place and we would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident, and in particular two men who were seen to be hit during the altercation. These two men may be able to provide important details as part of the investigation, and it's important we identify them as soon as possible." Can you help? Four men were arrested following the fight. They were a 25-year-old from Essex, who was released without charge, and a 21-year-old from Essex, a 23-year-old from Fareham and a 19-year-old, all of whom were released on bail, to return on January 14, 2009.
