Police appeal after burglary in Portsmouth - 07-10-2008
|

Police are appealing for information after a burglary at an address in Mayfield Road, Portsmouth.
Between 1.30pm and 5.15pm on Sunday, October 5, the house was broken into through the front door.
A few small personal items were taken, along with an ornate jewellery box containing a number of jewellery items, including pearl necklaces and a sapphire ring.
Investigating officers are today releasing photographs of the jewellery box stolen, in the hope that someone may recognise it.
PC David Freeman said, "Dwelling burglaries are always traumatic, due to the violation of a person's home, and in this case the occupants are particularly distressed because the items taken were of high sentimental value. If anyone sees this jewellery box for sale or are offered any jewellery items I would ask them to contact police."
Can you help? Anyone with information is asked to contact PC David Freeman at Fratton police station on 0845 045 45 45 or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111. Mini-Com users can call 01962 875000. News Source: www.hampshire.police.uk |
