Portsmouth pedestrian collision brings witness appeal - 06-10-2008

Officers from Cosham Roads Policing Unit are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision with a car at Portsmouth.
At 8.35pm Thursday, October 2, a 43-year-old Southsea man received serious head injuries when he was in collision with a blue Renault Clio, driven by a 21-year-old Southsea man, in Fratton Road, near the junction with Cornwall Road, Portsmouth.
The injured man was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, with a police escort. A scan revealed his injuries were serious, but not life threatening.
Fratton Road was closed for two and a half hours to allow police to investigate. Can you help?
