Annual Kite Festival - 23rd - 25th August

 

Portsmouth International Kite Festival will take place on Southsea Common from the 23rd to 25th of August for the 18th time and promises to be bigger and better than ever. This year has a huge range of guests, both old favourites and new discoveries. Highlights include:

- Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Revolution kite, with over 50 revolution fliers attenting for some spectacular mega displays.
- An amazing array of soft inflatable kites, from giant champagne bottles, to awe inspiring jesters and devils
- Beautiful artistic creations by celebrated kite fliers from all over the world, including award winning intriquely appliqued kites.
- Skilled team flying by champion two line fliers, displaying in fantastic routines set to music.
- Free kite making workshop, kite stalls, craft marquee and much much more!

Public Transport Directions:

Bus number 700 stops along the seafront. Both Portsmouth Harbour & Portsmouth & Southsea train stations are about a 25 minute walk from the seafront.
