Christmas Shopping in Nuneaton
Are you fed up of visiting your usual same old shops week in week out? Then why not have a change for one day and come and visit Nuneaton. The town, which is situated in the heart of the country and is the largest in Warwickshire, has an abundance of modern and conveniently placed shops. The two indoor shopping complexes, The Ropewalk and Abbeygate have top high street branded shops within them. All of the other main shopping areas in the town are designated as pedestrians only during the day.
Nuneaton is easy and accessible from all regions. It has a town centre railway station, a bus station and if travelling by car, is only five minutes from Junction 3 of the M6.
With plenty of car parking spaces available at a very reasonable cost as well.
Nuneaton also has a large open air market that is open twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The market has between 100/150 traders on these days with an extensive range of products on display. The town is very proud of its market as it has been voted the best in the country for the last two years running.
Shopping in Nuneaton gives you a choice of over 350 retail outlets, so we can almost guarantee something for everyone. Visitor numbers to Nuneaton have been steadily increasing year on year - our town has definitely got an attraction as a place to visit.
With all of the shops conveniently placed in two parallel streets and fully traffic free, Nuneaton is a very easy place to navigate safely and without the fear of losing your bearings as you do in many of the big towns and cities.
As well as the shops, Nuneaton also has some very nice
restaurants, cafés and bars as well as a library, museum, swimming pool, bowling alley and cinema.
During the run up to Christmas, street entertainers will be on display in various areas of the town. These are always a nice added attraction and they help shoppers get into the Christmas spirit.
This year the Christmas lights will be switched on at 5.00pm on Saturday 4 December - once the lights go on, Nuneaton turns into a special place! As always, the town will have an annual theme for the event, and this year that chosen theme will be the 30s & 40s dance music. This was selected to try and regenerate the feel good factor. During the depression people got together and danced to help them forget the very depressing times, so the organisers at Nuneaton have decided that this would be a good era to replicate and help raise people's spirits for the night. It is anticipated that they could have as many as 30,000 people descend on the town for this special evening. That should make for a great atmosphere indeed.
So look at your calendars and make that change to your usual Christmas shopping trip and come to Nuneaton and experience a different shopping day out.
Nuneaton looks forward to seeing you all.
