Caldecotte Lake:

Caldecotte Lake is a man made Lake. It was sculpted in 1982.  Caldecotte Lake gives the people of Milton Keynes a great opportunity to enjoy water sports and other leisure activities. Such as walking, cycling, sailing and rowing are just a few great ways to enjoy the Lake it has an excellent children's play area which is situated near the windmill. One of the great features of Caldecotte is its size. It's so large it makes it easy to escape all the water sports and other activities and enjoy the peaceful wild life and tranquil water.

Furzton Lake:

Furzton Lake is a small Lake with a footpath which hugs its shore line the whole way round. This makes it perfect for the elderly or young to walk and enjoy as there are very few un-even surfaces. On the far side of the lake it is over looked by the lovely housing estate of Furzton. Furzton Lake is regularly used by the Milton Keynes's running community which is mainly due to is well surfaced path way. At weekends you can see Model boats being sailed on the lake by enthusiasts. It's also a well know location for carp fishing. Once a year it is home to the National Carp Fishing championship.

Lodge Lake:

Lodge Lake is a hugely popular lake with visitors to Milton Keynes. This is mainly down to the extensive wild life that lives there you may even catch a glimpse of a Kingfisher or two. It is situated near the Village of Loughton which is a lovely historical village incorporated within the boarders of Milton Keynes. To this date it still retains a lot of its historical charm.  Lodge Lake is perfect for short walks as it takes less than 40 minutes to walk round. If you're looking for a longer walk you can follow the brook into the village of Loughton.

Mount Farm Lake:

Mount Farm Lake gives the workers of one of Milton Keynes's larger industrial sites a clean natural space to enjoy and unwind in. The lake is separated into two small lakes connected by an opening which you can cross via the bridge. The lake is one of the smallest lakes in Milton Keynes. It is dominated by an island in the centre where wildlife thrives. It has a small pathway that runs all the way around the lake so it can easily be enjoyed by all visitors. In locations around the lake you will find picnic areas with benches. These are great places to enjoy lunch or a picnic with the family.

Teardrop Lakes:

The Teardrop Lake system is very peaceful and full of interesting wildlife. It has dense banks of reed beds which are perfect for spotting wildlife and make for a beautiful shore line. It is very popular with the local fishing community. There are many designated area where you can enjoy a days fishing and it is pack full of carp, roach and perch. It has easily accessible car parking from where you can walk around the lakes which are nearly 2km around.

Willen Lake:

Willen Lake is one of the most popular lakes in Milton Keynes. It has a great selection of relaxing walks, safe play areas to suit children of all ages. Like many of the lakes in Milton Keynes is man made and beautifully sculpted. It is one of the most active lakes in Milton Keynes. It has a purpose built Wake boarding circuit with jumps, ramps and rails. Once a year it plays host to the Milton Keynes dragon boat race. Local companies and organisations compete to become champions. There's plenty more to enjoy at Willen Lake with activities such a sailing, fishing and jet skiing often taking place.
