Still released in connection with shooting - Milton Keynes

Police have released a still of three men they would like to speak to in connection with a shooting outside a nightclub in Milton Keynes earlier this year.

In the early hours of Monday 24 March 2008 - Easter Monday - a group of 10 to 12 black men attended the Buddha Blue nightclub in the Theatre District of Milton Keynes but were refused entry by the door staff. At around 2.40am one of the group returned to the grass area adjacent to the club and discharged a firearm. He left in a vehicle, which was in convoy with two other cars, onto the Avebury Boulevard opposite the Xscape building.

The man who discharged the firearm is black, in his early twenties, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins, slim to medium build and with short, black hair. He was wearing an olive green hooded style jacket and blue jeans.

Det Insp Ray Summers, investigating the incident, said: "Police enquiries to date show that these men might be from the London area and we are keen to trace them in connection with this incident.

"I urge anyone who recognises the men in the still or who witnessed the incident but have not yet spoken to police, to contact me. If would like to reassure potential witnesses that their call will be treated with complete confidentiality if necessary. If they don't want to speak to police or leave their name, call the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

"I would also like to take this opportunity to reassure residents that this was an isolated incident and incidents of this nature are very rare in Milton Keynes."

Det Insp Summers can be contact at Milton Keynes police station via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
