Road traffic collision - Shenley Lodge - 01-09-2008

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Redwood Gate, Shenley Lodge on Sunday afternoon (31/8).

At around 2.20pm, a green Ford Fiesta was turning right off the H7 Chaffron Way into Redwood Gate when it was involved in a collision with a white Ford Transit minibus.

The 83-year-old man driving the green Ford Fiesta was found dead at his home in Oakwood Drive, Bletchley this afternoon (1/9). A post mortem will take place to determine the cause of his death.

The driver and passenger in the minibus were both uninjured.

PC Raymond Macnaught, investigating the incident, said: "At this stage we don't know if there is any connection between the collision and the death of the man involved. We will know more once the post mortem has been completed.

"I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or saw any of the cars prior to the collision, to contact police as soon as possible."
