The cyclist who died in a vehicle collision on the southbound carriageway of the A5D at Redmoor on Saturday (19/07) has been named. Mohammed Abdullah Shah, aged 52 and from Ealing, London, was taking part in an annual charity bike ride from Birmingham to London when he was involved in a collision with a black BMW 3 series Touring at 4.25pm. Mr Shah was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he was pronounced dead. The event was organised by the Sikh Arts and Culture Association to raise money for the charity Children with Leukaemia.
