Dons goalkeeper Willy Gueret has been awarded Puma's Golden Glove for League 2. The Frenchman picked up the award courtesy of the 23 clean sheets he has kept in MK's historic Double-winning season. The former Millwall and Swansea stopper has enjoyed a momentous first season in Milton Keynes, proving one of the key players in the Dons' surge to the League 2 title and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. The Supporters' Player of the Year has provided some of the season's defining moments, not least under a goalkeeper's most intense spotlight of all. Willy has proved a penalty-saving specialist this term with five saves to his name, including one against former club Swansea to help send the Dons to Wembley, and the first ever under the arch itself in the JPT Final against Grimsby. Gueret was two shut-outs clear of his nearest challenger for the Golden Glove, Hereford's Wayne Brown with 21, while Darlington David Stockdale, Wycombe's Frank Fielding and Peterborough's Joe Lewis also made the shortlist. The League 2 Golden Boot award was picked up by Posh hotshot Aaron Mclean, who bludgeoned 33 goals in the campaign. The winners in The Championship were Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (25 goals) and Dean Kiely of West Brom (18 clean sheets), while the winners in League 1 were Swansea hitman Jason Scotland (28 goals) and Nottingham Forest stopper Paul Smith (25 clean sheets).
