QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER - Bedfordshire
Salary: £50-55,000 pa (Depending on experience) + benefits (FULL RELOCATION PACKAGE IF APPROPRIATE)

Our client is a leading UK defence contractor supplying integrated system solutions to the UK and allied armed forces directly or through global prime contractors.
Brief Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly qualified Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that the products and services they provide are fit for purpose and meets customer expectations, through the co-ordination of their teams activities.
The QA manager monitors and advises on how the quality management system is performing and publishes data and reports regarding company performance against set indicators.
Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation
Ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget, the successful candidate will function as an advisor and become actively involved in technical briefings, setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved by the team, assessing suppliers' and own company's product specifications and customer requirements. This will involve considering the application of environmental and health/safety standards.
Other duties would include setting up and maintaining controls and documentation, identifying relevant quality-related training needs together with collating and analysing performance data and charts against defined parameters. The ability to bring together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures is also a requirement for the post holder.
Influencing reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods and developing best in class initiatives are a further responsibility.
Aptitude in ISO compliance, reporting data analysis, and development of a culture within that ensures consistent compliance and improvement.
Essential Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:
Master's Degree and Chartered Quality Institute certification or equivalent
Extensive quality leadership in an engineering/manufacturing environment
Preferably 'Lean Six Sigma Black Belt' or equivalent (trained and certified) and ability to conduct and teach utilisation of SPC tools.
Good leadership skills and proven ability to develop a strong team environment.
Must be capable of maintaining robust failure analysis methods, reliability calculation competence and have strong analytical skills.
Must possess the inherent skills to drive change, must be strategic yet tactical, and creative yet fundamental, and able to work in challenging and timely situations well.
Desirable Experience:
Our client would prefer someone who has expertise leading change, start up abilities, and growth initiatives.
