Clean-up day in Highfields - 14-07-2008

RESIDENTS in Highfields will be joining forces to take part in an environmental clean-up day.

Leicester City Council's environmental crime team is organising the event, which takes place on Saturday, July 19, from 10am to 1pm.

The day includes a litter pick, involving members of Trinity Life Church. City council environmental crime team staff and litter wardens will be on hand to give advice on waste-related issues and to staff an information display at the church.

Anyone interested in taking part should meet at Trinity Life Church, Upper Tichborne Street, Highfields. Volunteers will be provided with protective clothing and gloves
