Police have charged two men following an incident in Leicester in which shots were fired. The incident happened shortly before 9.15pm on Wednesday May 14 on Shanklin Drive in Leicester, near to its junction with Carrisbrooke Road, when shots were fired by the occupants of a vehicle at another vehicle travelling along the road. No one is thought to have been injured in the incident. A 26-year-old man from Hinckley has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He has been remanded into custody. A 25-year-old man from Bournemouth has been charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. He has been remanded into custody. A 24-year-old man has been released from custody. The two men charged are due to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Saturday May 17). |
