Heanor Road Closures, Remembrance Sunday - 04-11-2008

Safer Neighbourhood officers in Heanor would like to advise local residents of road closures during the Remembrance Sunday Parade.

The parade will take place on Sunday, 9th November, starting at Heanor Market Place at approximately 10:15am. The procession will head onto Market Street and Ilkeston Road, stopping to lay wreaths in Heanor Memorial Park. On leaving the park the parade will head down Mundy Street turning onto Ray Street and then onto Market Street, finishing at St Lawrence's Church where the remembrance service will be held.

Due to the parade, the following roads will be closed from 10:05am to 11:05am.

* Market Street junction with Ray Street.
* Church Street junction with Ilkeston Road.
* Ilkeston Road outside Manor Pharmacy.
* Mundy Street junctions with Wilmot Street, Godfrey Street and Ray Street.

There will also be no access to Heanor Market Place until after the parade.

Police are asking local residents to avoid this area during the stated times and to find alternative routes.
